Social media users have been left 'terrified' after a photo of a homeowner's animal-shaped hedge was shared online - with many branding it 'the stuff of nightmares.'
The photo was captured by a passer-by and posted on Reddit on December 16, capturing the attention of members of the popular sub r/CasualUK.
The image, shared by u/Abwettar, shows a terraced house on a British residential street with an enormous hedge at the end of its front garden.
The bush appears to have trimmed to resemble a giant rabbit - but its the bizarre addition of eerie features that have left Redditors chucking their phones in fear.
Firmly placed on the rabbit's 'head' is a pair of cardboard cut-out ears painted in black and pink.
But, adding an eerie twist is a pair of piercing, reflective googly-eyes stuck to its 'face,' as well as a cardboard cut-out of a wide, human-like smile - along with a full set of jagged teeth.
The post - captioned 'It's a rabbit. And also a bush' - has since amassed over 300 likes and dozens of comments from terror-stricken Redditors.
One person wrote, 'Mildly terrifying,' while another labelled the creation, 'Nightmare fuel.'

One person joked: 'Creative, yet terrifying and situational. They Halloween, Xmas and Easter covered. Kudos.'
A fellow Redditor quizzed, 'That's a Cheshire Cat isn't it?' while a third quipped, 'A happy rabbit in a bush. Seems perfectly normal to me ha ha.'
Another said, 'That's the stuff of nightmares not a rabbit,' while a second remarked: 'It's f*****g freaky is what it is. Why give it teeth?'
A third joked: 'If that's what she said... throw batteries at it and run.'
Finally, one commenter mused: 'Also something a courier delivering parcels on a windy night will have a heart attack upon encountering.'
Meanwhile, a retired art teacher revealed he has cut a hedge in the shape of a naked lady outside his house for almost 20 years.

Pensioner Keith Tyssen, 90, decided in 2005 that he would indulge his love for sculpture by turning the hedge in front of his home into a naked woman.
Naming her Gloria, the divorced father-of-four said people stop and take photos of the 5ft tall reclining figure as they pass his house in Sheffield.
He revealed drunk people climb onto the sculpture for a grope, with some even pretending to have sex with the topiary.
He said: 'I'm 90 now but still fairly physically ok, so I'll keep her going.
'She isn't going anywhere. She'll stay sat there on my wall.
'The shape isn't easy to do, so when I do get compliments, it's very pleasant to hear.
'People do smile when they see Gloria and I like that.'
Mr Tyssen explained he hadn't planned a naked lady when he started manipulating his hedge into a slightly larger than life lady.
He achieved her shape thanks to his time as an art student when he completed life drawing lessons, before becoming a teacher.
